Doug Brown
Doug has performed with Woolly Mammoth since 1991: Mud People, African Tourist, Life During Wartime, Watbanaland, Tripping Through the Car House, The Last Orbit of Billy Mars, Stop Kiss, Fuddy Meers, The Day Room, Homebody/Kabul, Our Lady of 121st Street, Starving, and Measure for Pleasure. DC Credits include Fords Theatre: Member of the Wedding, Jitney; The Studio Theatre: Hambone, The Colored Museum, MaRainey's Black Bottom, Spunk, Split Second; Round House Theatre: The Petrified Forest, Pantomine, Crumbs from the Table of Joy, A Lesson Before Dying, The Trip to Bountiful; Metro Stage: The Island, Mooi Street Moves; Signature Theatre: Otabenga; and The Folger: Much Ado About Nothing. Other Regional: The Milwaukee Rep (Gem of the Ocean, Radio Golf); Actors Theatre of Louisville (Piano Lesson, Jitney); Syracuse Stage (The Crucible, Jitney). Doug began his acting journey with the DC Black Repertory Theatre. He has received seven Helen Hayes Awards nominations. His motto; "Act, golf, fish!!!" Not necessarily in that order.
