What is the Golden Ticket?

A new way to support and engage with Woolly in the upcoming season. For one flat price, you can attend (or watch) all eight 2020-2021 projects with the potential for even more surprise events as the year progresses.

So how is it different from a subscription?

In a typical subscription you’re selecting the shows you want and often renewing into specific dates and seats. This model provides more flexibility – you can choose to come on ANY date and sit in ANY seat as long as there is availability. You aren’t beholden to things like preview performances, specific price zones, or days of the week, and you can still exchange your tickets as many times as possible with ZERO fees or upgrade charges.

PLUS, if you love a show, you can come see it again. In fact, a Golden Ticket gives you unlimited access to come back as many times as you want!

Think of it like this: A Golden Ticket allows you 1 ticket for every single performance day/time in our season, should you be interested in coming. (Tickets reserved are non-transferrable and must be used by the name of the Golden Ticket holder)

What if I have 2 (or more people) I used to subscribe with?

Each person must have a Golden Ticket associated with their name to enjoy this unlimited access, so a couple who always attends together should consider purchasing 2 Golden Tickets.

However, if your guests attend infrequently or you prefer to switch up your dates, Golden Ticket holders will have access to discounted companion tickets for virtual and in-person events.

But what if I like having my dates selected?

We are happy to do that for you! Please select that option, along with your preferred day of week, and we’ll choose the corresponding date for each of the 8 in-person projects and slot you into the best seats available. You can always exchange if conflicts arise. For our digital offerings, you’ll be able to access those as soon as they’re available.

To make sure you don’t miss a show, we’ll be sending helpful reminders to Golden Ticket holders through email, phone calls, and texts.

But what if I want my old seats?

Given physical distancing, our theatre configurations for the upcoming year are going to be a little different, so we can’t guarantee our seating will be the same as the year progresses. However, we are happy to help select similar seats for you. Just choose that option on the order form and the seating area you prefer. We’ll let you know when we confirm your dates and seats, and you can always switch to different ones if you’d like!

What does it cost?

A Golden Ticket for the 2020-2021 season is $297, which you can pay up front or choose to split-up over three payments of $99. You’d pay the initial $99 on the day you buy, the 2nd would be billed on Sept 1st, 2020, and third would be billed on Nov 1st, 2020.

What about the money leftover from the 19/20 shows that didn’t happen?

If you chose to keep the funds from There’s Always the Hudson and Teenage Dick on your account, you can apply these to the cost of a Golden Ticket. So, if that amount was $100, you could apply it for $100 off the Golden Ticket. Please contact the box office to make this request.

You can also apply any funds on your account towards a Six-Pack or individual tickets, should you choose.

What shows are included in the Golden Ticket?

The short answer is everything!  For the 20/21 Season this includes:

  • Woolly on Demand (Amir Nizar Zuabi commission, Telephonic Literary Union, Makers Lab)
  • Hi, Are You Single?
  • Black is Beautiful but it Ain’t Always Pretty
  • Animal Wisdom
  • Where We Belong
  • Parable of the Sower
  • Teenage Dick
  • A Strange Loop
  • Any other projects announced!

How do I book seats using my Golden Ticket?

You’ll be able to log in to your account online and our system will automatically recognize you as a Golden Ticket holder. You’ll then be able to add 1 free ticket to any performance (or more, depending on how many Golden Tickets are associated with your household), and any additional tickets you’d like to add to that performance will automatically be discounted to the companion rate.

You can also visit or call our box office and we’d be happy to reserve those seats for you.

What about traditional subscriptions or Six-Packs?

Given the shifting nature of our season and our seating configuration, traditional full season subscriptions are not available for 2020-2021. However, Six-Packs are still available and you are welcome to choose that option instead!

What happens if shows are cancelled or we go back into Stay-at-Home orders?

We pledge to keep you updated about our plans, if they need to change for any reason. Should an in-person production not be able to happen, we’ll honor your Golden Ticket by extending it into the following season as needed so you can receive the full benefit of the 8 projects.
