Shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic required shelter-in-place restrictions, Woolly made the jaw-dropping announcement that we’d be beginning our 20/21 season with Michael R. Jackson’s Broadway-bound musical, A Strange Loop.

The good news is that we are still planning to bring this phenomenal show to Woolly audiences. However, given the current state of the global health crisis, we are moving the production from the fall of 2020 to close out next season in the summer of 2021. Read Peter Mark’s article about in the in The Washington Post. Production dates and single ticket on-sale dates will be announced at a later time.

This scheduling change helps us to hold firm to our guiding principle of protecting artists, audiences, and staff. We are waiting until summer 2021 in hopes that the largest number of audiences members will want to share in this amazing show by that time. We want as many people as possible to be able to attend because we have a feeling this show is going to be a huge hit! That said, we have lots of other projects planned and a robust 20/21 season that challenges, excites, and keeps people safe will be announced very soon.

However, if you’re missing Woolly please consider joining us for our next virtual Spit Dat event on May 25th!
