Last week DC released its proposed re-opening plan for the city. We are reviewing this document, in particular the guidance around performing arts venues, to inform our strategies about keeping people safe once we return to in-person performances. Once this plan is official and we’ve established our safety protocols, we’ll be sharing that information publicly. Thank you for your patience as we prepare to re-open in the safest and most accommodating ways possible – for our artists, staff, and of course you, our audiences.

Woolly also wants to acknowledge how the Coronavirus outbreak continues to expose the depths of anti-Blackness in the US. Communities of color, particularly Black and Indigenous communities, are experiencing disproportionately high infection and mortality rates from COVID-19 that can be traced back to the disease of systemic racism in this country.

Woolly would like to take a moment to lift up some resources that may be helpful as we all work to heal from the violence of racism:

We hope that you are remaining safe physically and find the support you need emotionally during this time.
