Camilo Montoya

Camilo Montoya is a Nicaraguan writer and spoken word artist, raised in Silver Spring, MD. He is best known in the DMV area for his 2020 performances at The Kennedy Center and Strathmore. With his group “Camilo y Los Locos”, he composes and performs musicalized poetry covering topics around immigration, identity and latinidad with musical influences ranging from cumbia, rock, and Latin-jazz.
