Diego Maramba

Diego Maramba (u/s Emelio/Paco) is a proud Filipino-American actor and playwright residing in Silver Spring, MD. He is the co-author of Connection, an immigration story told through the lens of a child’s two stuffed buddies: Malakas, a Filipino eagle, and Daniel, a carabao. His work premiered in 2021 at Adventure Theatre as part of their Winterfest program. Born in the Philippines, he lived in Taiwan, Korea, and Malaysia before moving to the US at the tender age of eight. He has appeared on stage at various DC theaters including: Woolly Mammoth (Hudson), Synetic Theater (Phantom), Silver Spring Stage (Yellow Face), and NextStop Theatre (Shawshank, Freaky Friday). Film credits include The Girl Who Left Home, a feature length Filipino–American movie musical by Mallorie Ortega. He holds BA and MBA degrees from the University of Maryland and is a graduate of the Honors Acting Conservatory at The Theatre Lab School for the Dramatic Arts.
