Jenari

Jenari is a writer, a fighter, and a trailblazer from Southeast Washington, DC. Jenari, now 24, has become one of her city’s best known young poets and continues to attract attention from across the world for poems like “We Just Trying to Grow Up.”
She has performed in many different places including Philly, NYC, Texas, LA, Miami, Jamaica, Paris, and many more!
In 2021, Jenari received the first DMV Renaissance Female Poet of the Year Award. Also, in 2021, Jenari was featured in an article in the Washington City Paper which highlights some of her poetry and her work within her community. Her poetry is her therapy, and she hopes that it can be therapeutic for you too.
