Venus Gulbranson

VENUS GULBRANSON (Lighting Designer, she/her) is a proud Filipino lighting designer based in Brooklyn NY, and is thrilled to be making her Woolly Mammoth debut. Most notable work includes Broadway’s New York, New York with Ken Billington and Susan Stroman. Venus has collaborated with Arena Stage, Signature Theatre, The Public, Ford’s Theatre, The Kennedy Center, La Jolla Playhouse, Soho Repertory, and more. She is a Helen Hayes nominee; Allen Lee Hughes Fellowship recipient; and a lighting design facilitator at the Studio School of Design. Venus is a member of the United Scenic Artists 829 and is an advocate for underrepresented artists in the industry. Current obsessions include Greek mythology fiction, tattoo art styles, and sweet-talking her partner and inspiration, Kiera, into adopting a dog. Venusgulbranson.com.
