PAY-WHAT-YOU-WILL TICKETS

As part of our commitment to making sure that our theatre remains open and accessible to every member of our community, Woolly offers the first performance of every mainstage production as a Pay-What-You-Will performance. This is the evolution of a program we began in DC where the concept is simple: we perform the show, you tell us how much you’re going to pay for your ticket.

On sale two hours before showtime, only in person. Available on a first-come, first-served basis.

In order to make sure that there are always last-minute, low-cost opportunities to see our shows, Woolly Mammoth guarantees approximately 5% of every single mainstage performance is held for and made available as Pay-What-You-Will.

Walk up PWYW seats go on sale two hours prior to showtime. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and they can only be purchased in person at the Woolly Mammoth box office.

Exceptions, which are rare, include special performances, VIP performances, and opening nights. Limit two tickets per person. Subject to availability.

The Pay-What-You-Will program is supported by JBG Cares, M&T Bank, the Nora Roberts Foundation, the Susan A. & Donald P. Babson Charitable Foundation, the Paul M. Angell Family Foundation, the Weissberg Foundation, and additional individual contributions, which provide the bridge capital that makes our ticket accessibility initiatives possible.

30 & Under Pricing

ACCESSIBILITY FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES

Anyone who is 30 or under can purchase tickets starting at $25 (plus fees) for any performance, subject to availability. Anyone using a 30 & Under ticket must meet the age requirement and present a valid ID when tickets are picked up.

In addition, full-time college and graduate school students with a valid school ID can also take advantage of the 30 & Under offer. They will also need to present a valid ID when picking up tickets.

Woolly offers a 20% off of our regular ticket prices to all DC public school teachers. We are committed to giving educators access to enriching, expansive art of the highest caliber.

Military Tickets

WELCOMING OUR MILITARY

Woolly has a long-standing commitment to the military personnel in our community.

Woolly offers a 20% off of our regular ticket prices for all U.S. military personnel, spouses, and children, as well as U.S. veterans. We have a long-standing commitment to the military personnel in our community, and we welcome you to our theater.

Use code: MILITARYTIX or call 202-393-3939. Military, veterans, and family can purchase up to four discounted tickets. When you call or visit our box office, simply identify yourself as U.S. military personnel, a veteran, or the family of military personnel.

NOTE: presenting your military ID at Will Call is encouraged, but not required.

Playwrights Welcome is a program created to support and inspire playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists. The goal is simple: to provide free access to theatre for theatre writers around the country. Developed for the Dramatists Guild of America members, Playwrights Welcome is a national ticketing initiative created by Samuel French, a Concord Theatricals company, along with input from other publishing and licensing houses.
