Join Woolly Mammoth to celebrate the past, present, and future of dynamic storytelling at our annual gala: This Mammoth Moment on Saturday, May 6th, 2023 at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of African American History and Culture.

This Mammoth Moment will honor trailblazers who have shaped our city’s cultural landscape and storytellers who create bold artistry that makes history. On May 6th, we are very proud to celebrate Michael R. Jackson and the incredible artists of A STRANGE LOOP. This big, Black, and queer Broadway musical not only changed our theatre community but American culture writ large. A STRANGE LOOP may have closed on Broadway, but its legacy is now forever a part of theatre and Black American history.

The Gala will raise critical funds for Woolly’s Artistic and Connectivity programming, including our barrier-breaking Miranda Family Fellowship program.
