Behind the Groove—DC Edition

Woolly Mammoth and Miss Chief Rocka are proud to host BEHIND THE GROOVE-DC EDITION! Since 2009, hip-hop legends @djks360 and @larokafella have curated Behind The Groove, a NY dance party that invites the community to freestyle to classic Funk, Soul, Disco Rare Groove, Edits Remixes and House music. Without the pressure of competition or bar culture, the event allows dancers to organically engage in social exchange on the dance floor. This electric evening will debut in DC on November 23rd after the evening performance of The Second City’s DANCE LIKE THERE’S BLACK PEOPLE WATCHING and includes a Fresh Fit clothing swap. All ages welcome.
