Nehoiden Street Films is proud to present the award winning film Shattered Ice as part of our Mental Health Social Impact Series and hosted by The Washington Capitals to the Washington, D.C. area.
The story centers on a small-town New England teenage hockey player’s attempt to navigate high school life when his best friend dies by suicide.

Presented and facilitated by Nehoiden Street Films & the Washington Capitals, a panel discussion will take place following the screening and feature special guests from the film, mental health professionals, and the Washington Capitals. The panelist will share their stories and discuss the importance of sparking the conversation around mental health and athletes. The Washington Capitals Hockey Talks platform, in partnership with MedStar Health, aims to raise awareness and help end the stigma around mental illness and promote good mental health habits.

Our goal with the film and this event is to raise awareness, tell a powerful story, and send a message to others that there is light at the end of the tunnel even in the darkest times.
