‘HOME | Aamir’ is a cinematic / live action verbatim film about the experience of living in the Calais Jungle presented through the eyes of a 22-year-old Sudanese refugee, Aamir. Step inside the world and community that inspired THE JUNGLE, through this immersive production. ‘HOME | Aamir’ is a collaboration between the National Theatre, Surround Vision, and Room One. Directed by Rufus Norris, Director of the National Theatre, Toby Coffey, Head of Digital Development for the National Theatre, and Erfan Saadati of Surround Vision, the film follows 22-year-old Aamir, who begins a journey across Sudan, Libya, the Mediterranean, Italy, and France whilst escaping the threat of murder in Sudan.

This free 360° virtual reality (VR) film experience is presented at Woolly in collaboration with the Shakespeare Theatre Company and made possible by presenting partner ARTECHOUSE.

THE JUNGLE is a St. Ann’s Warehouse and Good Chance Production by Joe Murphy & Joe Robertson, directed by Stephen Daldry & Justin Martin. The regional premiere of THE JUNGLE is co-presented by Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company and Shakespeare Theatre Company at Sidney Harman Hall from March 28 through April 16.
