Childcare Matinee

No experience is required. The workshop is structured so newbies and experienced young actors can work on their acting skills while having fun and laughing with new friends.

We will provide a nut-free snack for each child. If your child has additional food allergies, we can send an appropriate snack as long as we know by EOD on Thursday, December 5th. You are also welcome to provide your child with their own snack as long as it is nut-free. (This is recommended if your child has severe food allergies or is a picky eater).

Our faculty has training and experience working with children with different needs. We can best support a child if we know what their needs are. If your child has diverse needs that may affect how they participate in the workshop, please email Terah Herman-Saldaña (terah@theatrelab.org) with additional information so we can make sure the faculty is prepared with a support plan

While we understand that siblings may want to be together, we ask that students stay in their assigned age group. The workshops are tailored to each group’s developmental level, and the faculty assigned to each group specializes in working with their assigned age group.

No problem! Our faculty works with students of all personalities and has experience and training in working with students who may be more hesitant to join the group. Each group is assigned two teachers to ensure all students feel supported in the workshop.

In the unlikely event that your child has an emergency during the show, the Woolly Mammoth and Theatre Lab staff will work together to locate where you are seated in the theatre and let you know what is needed.
