    Community Conversation featuring Voices Unbarred

April 18  //  following the 8pm Performance of THE PECULIAR PATRIOT

    in the Woolly Mammoth Theater

Join us for a post-show community conversations about the vital questions raised by the play and the personal and societal implications of those questions. At this session we will be joined by our community partners from Voices Unbarred, who will speak to the challenging truths and systemic inequities at play in the American prison system.

    About Voices Unbarred

VOICES UNBARRED is a local organization that uses Theatre of the Oppressed techniques in prisons to help their participants create and perform original plays about their life experiences and issues they've faced related to the prison system. Voices Unbarred also hires returned citizens to help bring the scripts to life out in the community. Voices Unbarred is fiscally sponsored by Community Family Life Services, a local nonprofit serving women returning from prison. For more information visit
